It was built during the winter of 1877/78, measures 50.2 m in height and is the second largest lighthouse in Poland. It has massive foundations, set on an octagonal base with a diameter of 11.3 m. The light of the lantern is visible in good weather from a distance of 19.5 nautical miles, or about 36 kilometers. It is open to the public. There are winding stairs leading to the top and the view from the terrace is breathtaking.
